Thank you!
FREESTYLE SESSION RULES**
1. Respect the Rights of others and show good sportsmanship.
2. Respect the arena's property and the property of others.
3. Sign in at the office and pay for each session BEFORE stepping on the ice (Remember, Freestyle ice is on a first come first serve basis, so plan accordingly for this. We limit the number of skaters on a freestyle for safety reasons)
4. Parents, skaters not in the session or other spectators should not loiter at the door. This is unsafe and interferes with constructive training sessions.
5. Coaching by parents from the bleachers, doors, or benches is not allowed at any time. If this occurs, parents will be asked to leave by management. Hockey boxes are for skaters and coaches only.
6. Skaters that are basic 5 or HIGHER are only allowed on any freestyle session.
7. Skaters should be aware of ice patterns. If you do not know/understand them please feel free to ask some of the more experienced skaters or your coach (Traditionally, corners are for jumping and the center of the ice for spinning).
8. Please be aware that the program skater has the right of way. Please do your best to be mindful of whom the program skater is and do your best to give them the right of way. If you do not know who the program skater is, just ask.
9. Advanced skaters are expected to exhibit patience toward beginner skaters. Remember, you were an inexperienced skater once, and it takes time for our future generation to advance to the point where they are completely comfortable skating with all level skaters.
10. Please be aware that a coach on a lesson will have the right to “jump” the program line (only twice per lesson if the session is busy, please).
11. Kicking the ice, kicking the boards, shouting, foul language, or arguing with other skaters or coaches will not be tolerated.
12. All Skaters must remove their trash after each session and keep the hockey boxes clean.
13. Professionals are expected to be courteous to their students and other professionals and adhere to USFSA rules and the PSA code of ethics. If professionals disagree with one another, please do not discuss/argue in front of the children. Wait until the session ends and speak to the skate school director or general manager.
14. Professionals should stay near the boards as much as possible. Professionals should avoid teaching in the Lutz corner.
15. Wait for both Zamboni doors to be closed before getting on the ice after an ice cut!
